Egypt to start working with daylight saving time after a few hours, as people will need to adjust their clocks for 60 minutes forward at midnight of Friday, April 28. The clock will be turned from 00:00 (Friday, 28/4/2023) to 1:00 (Friday, 28/4/2023).
Following the daylight saving time will last to the final Thursday of October, 26, Egyptian Cabinet Spokesperson Nader Saad said, yesterday.
Saad explained that people will adjust their clocks from 00:00 to 1:00 am next Friday. He added that the tradition will be followed annually.
Last month, the Egyptian Cabinet approved the return of daylight saving time after years of absence.
The decision indicated that daylight saving time will be applied from the final Friday of April to the final Thursday of October.
On its official Facebook page, the Cabinet said that the return of daylight saving time is due to the recent developments in the world, and the government's target to save energy.
