The students of the Cairo University branch of the International Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University (FECU) won the award of the regional model student branch for the year 2022 for the eighth region of the institution, which includes Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, for the third time in a row (and the tenth since the branch was established in 2008).
Dr. Ahmed Khattab, professor at the Faculty of Engineering and supervisor of the university branch of the IEEE, won the award for the best student branch supervisor for the year 2022, and the chapter won 8 awards, including the Ideal Branch Award 4 times, which provides a platform to appreciate the creative ideas of young professionals. It encourages them to give their best.
It is worth noting that IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organization for the engineering and technology community, aiming to develop innovation and technological excellence for the benefit of humanity and to lead the global community towards technological innovation for a better tomorrow.
