The wife of actor Idris Elba, Sabrina Dhowre Elba revealed Sunday that she has also tested positive for coronavirus, a week from choosing not to quarantine away from her husband who was diagnosed with the virus.
The couple caught heat online after they posted last Monday a video announcing Elba's confirmed test results, with Sabrina sitting next to him.
Since then, the actor has been posting updates on his social media accounts, which he used to inform people about the seriousness of the pandemic.
They explained their decision to stick together in an interview with Oprah Winfrey through FaceTime for an episode of her show "Oprah Talks: COVID-19" on Apple TV.

Sabrina told Winfrey that it was her choice to stick with her husband, even though medical experts have advised that those who test positive for the coronavirus should isolate themselves from others to slow the spread.
"I could have made the decision to put myself, maybe, in a separate room or stay away, and I'm sure that people are making those decisions. And they're tough decisions to make, but I made the decision to want to be with him and, you know, still touch him." Sabrina said.
Elba explained that they had been together on the day of his probable exposure to a person who tested positive and had been together until he left to begin filming a movie.
"If I had caught it, she had certainly caught it in that time period, as well," Elba told Winfrey.
The couple stated that they feel well and have not experienced symptoms of the coronavirus.
Sabrina pointed out that she feels the equivalent of seasonal allergies that might be symptoms but that she feels fine overall.
