A few moments ago, Ashraf Zaki, the head of the Acting Professions Syndicate announced that iconic singer Ali Hemeida passed away at the age of 55.
Hemida, whose name went viral through the past few days after urging medical authorities to help him to fight his disease, suffered from severe medical complications in the past few hours at his home.
The singer is one of the most celebrated icons in Egyptian music in the 1980s alongside Hamid Shaeri, Ehab Tawfik, Alaa Abdel Khalik, and Hossam Hosny. His most famous hit is "Lolaki."
