International Criminal Court (ICC) Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan said on Wednesday that Ukraine has turned into a ‘crime scene’.

This came during his visit to Bucha, following allegations that Russian forces committed atrocities during their occupation of the Kyiv suburb.

Last month, the ICC Prosecutor announced an investigation into war crimes in Ukraine and called on citizens in the conflict zone to inform him about any possible crimes.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron described the Russians and the Ukrainians as brotherly people. He refrained from describing what is happening in Ukraine as a ‘genocide’, noting that it is now necessary to be careful in terms, according to ‘Russia Today’.

Moreover, the US representative to the United Nations (UN), Linda Thomas Greenfield, described the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine as the “worst” in Europe since World War II.

“Around half of all children in Ukraine have been displaced,” Greenfield said.

Moreover, several UN officials had earlier called for an investigation into violence against women during the Russian war on Ukraine, calling for the protection of children in this conflict.
