CAIRO, Dec. 22 (SEE)- Hyundai developed next level futuristic cars that will allow drivers to unlock and start their cars using fingerprints. It would be similar to that of picking up the smartphone and unlocking it with fingerprint. The system is set to debut in the new ''Santa Fe SUV'' and launched in China beginning in early 2019.
The new Hyundai biometric system enables a driver to open the doors and start car without a key once his or her fingerprint is pre-registered. The company will also include temperature and humidity control, steering wheel position adjustment.
When a user unlocks the car their fingerprint is scanned and that encrypted data is sent to the car it will be able to adjust to personalized settings such as changing the seat position or the angle of the rear view mirrors.
It's so accurate that it has an error rate of 1 in 50،000, which is the same data point touted by Apple for its touch ID on the iPhone, iPad and other devices, Hyundai reported.
