Hundreds of Tunisians organized a massive demonstration in front of the US Embassy in Tunisia, to protest US policy in the Middle East.

The "Tunisia Cop" website said that the demonstration came as a response to "the controversial positions of the United States of America in the Middle Eastern conflict and the massacre that occurred in Gaza."

For its part, the Tunisian authorities deployed security forces extensively, in anticipation of violence and to ensure that demonstrators do not advance towards the embassy building.

It is noteworthy that Tunisia had received 52 wounded Palestinians who arrived in the country earlier in December, to receive treatment in Tunisian hospitals.

On December 3, a Tunisian military plane transported 20 injured Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, as well as 21 companions, to receive treatment in the country. Among them were children aged one and 13 years, in addition to young men aged 19 and 21 years.
