Today, Saturday, 18 buses were burnt and several others were damaged, after a huge fire broke out at the central bus station in the occupied city of Safed, northern Israel, according to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.
The newspaper quoted the Israeli police as saying that “initial investigations indicate that the fire was deliberate.”
The police added that they had "opened an investigation into the incident," which came two weeks after a similar incident that affected about 8 buses that were parked in an industrial area in Kiryat Shmona in northern Israel.
The Israeli police are also investigating “whether there is a link between the two incidents,” noting in a statement that the fire at the central bus station in Safed “did not result in any human casualties.”
