Hong Kong: 1 Killed, 6 Injured in Oil Tanker Explosion

On Saturday, a crew member was killed and 6 others were injured in an explosion that occurred onboard the oil tanker "Chuang Yi" off Hong Kong.

This was reported by the South China Morning Post.

The accident occurred at 16:00 local time, 300 km east of Hong Kong.

The state aviation authority sent two helicopters to the scene to evacuate the victims, as one crew member died on the way to the hospital, and 3 others are in serious condition with severe burns.

The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined, according to the newspaper.
