Egypt's Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel Ghaffar thanked on Tuesday the medical staff in hospitals and isolation centers.
During the plenary session of the House of Representatives chaired by Hanafi Jabali, Abdel Ghaffar said: "The medical personnel have taken heroic action to confront the dreaded pandemic and work day and night. Some of them have died of the disease. Some of them were infected of the disease and have been recovered and returned to the battlefield again."
He said that with the intensification of the crisis, 4000 intensive care rooms were used, and nearly 3000 beds were provided.
Abdel Ghaffar presented the achievements made by the Egyptian government in the field of higher education and scientific research.
During his speech before the House of Representatives in its session on Tuesday, he said: "We will continue development during the next phase and complete the major projects that the ministry is undertaking during the next phase."
