Hezbollah announced it had targeted the command center of the 91st Brigade at the Brannite barracks belonging to Israeli forces with "Burkan" rockets.

This declaration came following a series of Israeli airstrikes on the outskirts of the Lebanese towns of Kafrhamam and Rashaya Al Fokhar in the south of the country.

Hezbollah confirmed direct hits on Israeli forces on Friday, escalating tensions in the region.

The Israeli military responded with a fourth airstrike targeting the vicinity of the town of Shebaa in southern Lebanon.

Additionally, artillery fire targeted the areas around the towns of Al-Khiyam and Kafrkila, also in southern Lebanon.

Israeli media claimed the latest targets in Lebanon included a senior Hezbollah official, allegedly behind recent rocket attacks on Israel.

This recent flare-up along the southern Lebanese border comes amid heightened tensions with the Israeli military.

The escalation follows the launch of "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood" by the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, in response to Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
