The General Administration of Civil Aviation in Kuwait announced the temporary suspension of air traffic at Kuwait International Airport on Monday afternoon due to the dusty situation in the country.

The Deputy Director-General for Air Navigation Services, Imad Al-Jalawi, explained that the movement of aircraft was affected by the current lousy weather.

He added that flights will be rescheduled and air traffic at the airport will be restored as soon as visibility improves.

Also, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior called for caution due to the wave of dust and low visibility.

Kuwait was hit by a similar dust storm last Monday, which led to the suspension of air and sea navigation and the suspension of the Ministry of Education studies in all its schools.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Marine Forecasting Department at the Kuwait Meteorological Department, Yasser Al-Balushi, expected, on Monday, that the country will be affected in the coming hours by a severe dust storm with active to strong northwest winds that may exceed 60 kilometers per hour.
