Heatwave Hits Egypt on Monday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts that the country will continue to witness a rise in the temperature, during daylight hours on Monday.

 

Extremely hot weather is foreseen to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai, and the South of the country.

 

Moderately hot weather is also predicted to prevail along the Northern coasts.

 

Temperatures will begin to drop on Tuesday, reaching 37C degrees.

 

Furthermore, Mahmoud Shaheen, Director of the Weather Forecast Department at EMA, predicted winds will be active in Cairo, Lower Egypt, Northern coasts, and North Upper Egypt.

 

Pleasant weather is predicted to prevail across the country, at night.

 

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 39C in Cairo, 30C in Alexandria, 29C in Marsa Matruh, 42C in Sohag, 42C in Qena, and 42C in Aswan.
