Healthy oatmeal date is a delicious treat made without any no oil, butter ,sugar.
These date oat squares make the perfect lighter treat when you’re craving something sweet, but still want it to nourish your body.
Marie Claire Massoud shared a recipe for healthy oatmeal date ( or banana ) muffins.
Ingredients
1 & 1/4 cup oatmeal
1 cup hot milk
2 mashed bananas ,or I used 1& 1/2 cups mashed dates
2 eggs , vanilla
2 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
Directions
Mix oatmeal with hot milk & let stand for 15 min.
Add mashed bananas ( or mashed dates ) , eggs ,vanilla
Mix dry ingredients, then add to the above mixture
Pour in cupcake tray
Add any topping you like , chocolate chips , chopped nuts .. etc
It is not too sweet or feel like a need for more sweet flavour, add a tablespoon or two of honey to the dough
Bake at preheated 350 oven for 25 min.
If you like smother texture to the muffin , you can grind the oatmeal first into powder then use .
