Health Ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said on Sunday no Omicron cases have been detected in the country so far.
In televised remarks, Abdel Ghaffar added that all types of vaccines are still effective against COVID-19 and its variants, according to World Health Organization (WHO).
Moreover, he urged citizens to receive the vaccine, as it helps prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, noting that the total of vaccinations against the virus has reached to 47 million doses, between first and second doses.
