The head of the scientific committee to combat Coronavirus at the Egyptian Ministry of Health Hossam Hosni said that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah's condition is very stable, and "we have allowed him to travel to El Gouna."

According to Egypt's Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper, Hosni affirmed that Salah is currently in El Gouna and will conduct a Corona swab test next Thursday, saying: "I expect that the result will be negative because so far the player has not shown any symptoms."

Hosni stressed that they allowed Salah to travel but he should have a rest on the road every 70 minutes, and to implement the precautionary measures, noting that the player arrived safely to El Gouna, and he is now committed to the medical protocol.

The government official affirmed that "Liverpool FC is communicating with us to check on Salah, while the English club's medical staff has agreed to the player's travel to El Gouna,"

He also indicated that Salah can go back to England in case Thursday's swab test turned out negative, however, it is better to wait and make an additional swab test to make sure he is completely safe.

He added that the "infection was discovered as a result of a routine swab test that was conducted before the Togo match," and Salah conducted analyses and underwent a CT scan, confirming that he suffered lack of white blood cells, and "we advised him to rest, isolate himself completely and to implement the medical protocol program."
