The Egyptian Ministry of Health denied a post circulated on social media pages attributed to the ministry, warning citizens not to visit hospitals if they feel symptoms of the coronavirus and it would rather send response teams to conduct home examinations.
In its response to the Cabinet Media Center, the Ministry confirmed that the circulating circular is fake and is not affiliated with the Ministry.
It indicated that the Ministry did not direct any of its medical teams to homes to examine those suspected of being infected with the Coronavirus.
The ministry also stressed that all hospitals are receiving all patients, including those infected with coronavirus, while conducting all necessary tests and analyzes for them, and receiving appropriate treatment, calling on all citizens not to be led by these rumors creating panic among them, while obtaining information from official sources.
