The Pharaohs managed to end the first half with a 15-14 victory over the Eagles.
It is worth mentioning that Egypt qualified for the last 16 as group B winners after pulling off five victories in their group stage clashes against Australia, Nigeria, Sweden, South Korea, and France.
Egypt became the first non-European team to achieve the full mark during the group stage in this tournament since 2009 when Brazil managed to do so.
