On Wednesday, UN Secretary-General António Guterres said that nothing justifies the collective punishment of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

“Over a million people are facing catastrophic hunger ... we must act now before it is too late,” said Guterres.

This came after the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), said that the first two weeks of March saw just 11 out of 24 missions “facilitated” by Israeli authorities.

According to OCHA, their facilitated missions mostly focused on distributing food, conducting health and nutrition assessments, and providing supplies to hospitals. OCHA also reiterated its warning that "humanitarian access constraints" are still hindering the timely delivery of life-saving aid, particularly to hundreds of thousands of people in northern Gaza.
