The Media Center of the Council of Ministers revealed that, in light of what was circulated by publications inferring fear of Egypt entering into new epidemic waves that the World Health Organization (WHO) had warned of as a result of stopping work in a public health laboratory in one of the countries in the region. The media center communicated with the Ministry of Health and Population, which confirmed that these posts are incorrect and had no connection to reality.
The Ministry stressed that the health situation in Egypt is completely reassuring and stable, and there are no epidemic diseases in any of the governorates at the level of the Republic.
The Ministry also indicated that Egypt has a program to monitor and investigate epidemic diseases that work effectively in the early detection and monitoring of any epidemics or diseases that may leak into the country.
Authorities apply all precautionary measures in Egyptian airports and ports to prevent the leakage of any disease through those coming from countries with endemic areas.
