Get to Know Egypt’s Prominent Measures to Support Human Rights

Egypt affirmed, Friday, that developing the approaches, used in dealing with human rights, is considered a path with a multiple contributions, listing the most prominent measures, taken to promote and protect human rights.

First, Egypt is going to launch a number of initiatives in multilateral frameworks, that address issues of terrorism, human rights, the right to work, and the empowerment of women.

Moreover, Egypt shall uphold the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, supporting international decisions to promote coexistence, reject discrimination and combat racism.

The constitutional entitlement to establishing the Senate has been completed.

Furthermore, House of Representatives elections are being finalized.

The executive regulations for the law regulating civil work in Egypt has been issued, to represent a quantum leap for human rights organizations and the abolition of custodial penalties.

Drafting a national human rights strategy has been finished for the first time.

Additionally, there are initiatives and activities, undertaken to enhance tolerance and values of dialogue and confront extremism conflicts, have been implemented.

70 million plan has been developed to restore some Egyptian antiquities, including synagogues.

The country has worked on restoring the ancient religious sites, located on the route of the Holy Family's journey in Egypt.

The country has developed the infrastructure of 44 fever hospitals and completing the implementation of about 14,762 projects over a period of 6 years.

It also have major priority for the right to education, which led to establishing 75,688 classrooms during the last period, to reduce student densities and create curricula in accordance with international standards.
