On Friday, the final draw for the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, which will be hosted in Egypt next year, took place.
The 12 teams were drawn into three groups of four teams. The classification of teams was set according to their performance in the 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations final tournament. Egypt was assigned to Position A1 in the draw as it is the hosting country.
The results were as the following:
Group A: Egypt, Mozambique, Senegal, Nigeria
Group B: Uganda, Central Africa Republic, South Sudan, Congo
Group C: Gambia, Tunisia, Benin, Zambia.
The games of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations will mainly take place in three venues in Cairo, Alexandria, and Ismailia.
In the same context, Egypt's U-20 national team, headed by Mahmoud Gaber, started its camp at Air Defence Stadium.
30 players were summoned to the camp including Abdel Rahman Rashdan, Ahmed Nader Al Sayed, Karim Al Debes, Eyad Al Asqalani, Mohamed Hamdy, Youssef Hassan, and Mostafa Ashraf.
The technical team for the Egyptian team consists of Mahmoud Gaber as a manager, Karim Morsy as a trainer, Hamdy Hamdan as a trainer, Ehab Galal as a goalkeeping trainer, Haged Hany as a physiotherapist, Nasser Haredy as a conditioning coach, Ahmed Mamdouh as a masseur, Abdel Galil Emam as administrator, Ahmed Ehab for administrative role, and Alaa Saied as a kit manager.
