German Prince Accused of Leading Military Coup in Germany

The German authorities have thwarted a military coup carried out by the far-right to seize power through a military arm.

The leading group papers are referred to as the “Council”, which is led by Prince Henry XIII (71 years). Prince Henry was expected to be king of a new German kingdom if he controlled matters.

The German Public Prosecutor said that some of the members of the "Reichsberger –means the citizens of the Reich" terrorist movement were active in the army, aiming to try to build a new army.

The German Prosecutor indicated that the coup movement was established in 2021, and it wanted to appoint a government, while an imprisoned former deputy sought to become defense minister.

The German Public Prosecutor said that the security authorities carried out 140 searches in 11 German states, and a lot of evidence was seized, indicating that the detainees reject public institutions and believe in conspiracy theories.

According to the investigations, the defendants have already worked to establish structures similar to the ruling regime, and had prepared intensively for the coup in the past months through shooting training and recruiting new members, while the leadership body of the group, which was expected to run the country in the event of the success of the coup.
