Sevim Dagdelen, a German parliamentarian indicated that supplying Ukraine with deadly arms than increases the risks of an escalation of the Ukrainian crisis and its transformation into a third world war.

In a statement to the Chinese newspaper, "Global Times", Dagdelen reported that two-thirds of Germans are concerned about this matter.

She added that the West, led by the US and the UK is pinning its hopes on a proxy war and a war of attrition.

"The aim is to weaken Russia for the long term and to achieve that, the West is willing to accept tens of thousands of deaths and limitless suffering, as well as the destruction of Ukraine," Dagdelen continued.

She pointed out that supplying the Ukrainian troops with heavier weapons than what was provided to it, in addition to training the Ukrainian army, increases the risks of the Ukrainian crisis escalating into a third world war.

She considered that NATO is currently not a defensive alliance, but the largest fighting machine in the world.

The German parliamentarian explained that "there will be no peace in Europe without or against Russia. This is what we have to learn from the current crisis."

"We have to have a security architecture, which is respecting each other's interests."
