Zamalek's goalkeeper Mahmoud Genish would not be among the national team's members after he suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during Friday's training.
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said on its official page on Twitter that scans proved that Gennesh suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon
"It is so hard for him to continue the tournament," the EFA added.

The seven-time title holders will continue the AFCON with only two goalkeepers; Mohamed El- Shenawy and Ahmed El- Shenawy.
It is worth mentioning that Egypt, who were picked in Group A alongside Uganda, DR Congo, and Zimbabwe, qualified for the last 16 after pulling off two consecutive victories over Warriors and Leopards.
The Pharaohs will take on Uganda's Cranes on Sunday, 30 June at Cairo Stadium (21:00 CLT).
