Fun Family Activities to Do during Storms

To many people storms are an unfortunate event. And really who can blame them? We are stuck indoors, it is cold and in most cases the electricity is out.

But the way I see it, is that it is a great opportunity to bound with our kids and family. Because it is most likely the only time to have the whole family in one room together.

So, here are some fun family activities to do during a storm :

* Baking

Baking is a great family activity, no matter how big your family is or how old your kids are; everyone will have something to do and you all get to enjoy a treat at the end, be it a cookie or a brownie.

* Board games

Board games are a great way to relax with your family. They are fun and are a great distraction to your kids from the absence of their electronic devices. They also provide a great bonding experience seeing as they involve the entire family.

* Watching movies

If you are one of the lucky ones who still have electricity, then, it is a great idea to gather your whole family around the T.V. and enjoy a nice family movie whether it is a Disney movie or a good old comedy that is sure to make everyone laugh.

* Drawing

Drawing is a great idea especially if you have younger kids and if your kids are older then it will be a real funny thing to compare all your amateur drawings together. Just gather around the coffee table with some papers and pencils and let the art begin.

Make sure to enjoy this time with your family to the fullest and most importantly do not forget to stay safe.
