Reporters found out that the German Cultural Center in Beirut is not an international or educational institution, in addition, its degrees are not accredited.

Mahmoud Abdullah Al-Khatib, the director of the German Cultural Center, told Sputnik that this degree is given to members who paid the membership that is estimated at $ 100. He asserted that this degree is given to influential persons who spread peace and equality.

Regarding the presence of the Lebanese Syndicates of Musicians' board members at the celebration, the director of the syndicate Farid Bosaied told local reporters that they are not responsible for awarding Ramadan. He added that Ramadan was awarded this degree by a special committee that is not linked with the Lebanese Ministry of Culture, and the Syndicate of Musicians.

In the same context, the German Embassy in Cairo denied the presence of any links between the German Cultural Center in Lebanon and the government of Germany. In addition, the embassy called all Arabs to check official German institutions in the state such as Goethe Institute.
