French President's Wife Tested Positive for Coronavirus Late Dec.

French President Emmanuel Macron's wife contracted Coronavirus in late December, yet she resumed normal activities after the second test proved negative, Reuters reported, according to different media outlets.

French radio station 'Europe 1' revealed that Brigitte Macron contracted Coronavirus on Dec. 24, adding that she showed mild symptoms.

It also noted that Brigitte underwent two further tests on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31 which proved negative.

On Dec.17, President Macron tested positive for COVID-19 and went into self-isolation for seven-days.

On Dec. 24,  the Elysee announced that Macron showed no more symptoms of COVID-19.
