French Ambassador to Egypt Visits Administrative Control Agency

French Ambassador to Egypt Stephane Romatet paid a visit to the Administrative Control Authority on Wednesday. Romatet was received by the ACA’s Chairman Minister Sherif Seif Eddin who welcomed the French Ambassador and his accompanying delegation. 

The minister discussed possibilities of cooperation with the French side. 

Among the visitors, there were the French attaches for security, culture and economy.

Seif Eddin expressed his warm appreciation to the visit which fosters anti-corruption mission, as he described during his welcome speech. 

He referred to the upgrading relationship between Cairo and Paris recently including common visions and ideas about issues of common interests. 

“The deep ties between the ACA and France goes back to 2000 when specialized courses were held to teach the ACA’s staff the French language in cooperation with the French Cultural Institute,” he added. 

It’s noteworthy that the joint training courses included the ENA Academy and the Judicial ENM Academy as well.

The minister noted that there has been joint cooperation between the ACA and the French anti-Corruption Authority, headed by Mr. Charles Duchaine

Seif Eddin and Duchaine were met in January, 2019 on the sidelines of the International Anti-Corruption Conference in Kuwait. 

On his part, the French ambassador to Egypt showed his gratitude to the ACA chairman and his staff, noting that Paris is interested in that strategic meeting.
