The French Football Federation has confirmed that the France national team will participate in two friendly matches next June as part of its preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

According to the federation, Les Bleus will play two warm-up games in France on Thursday, June 4, and Monday, June 8, before traveling to the United States the following day.

The team will then head to Boston, which has been officially confirmed as France’s base camp for the tournament.

The announcement comes after France’s March tour of the United States, during which they are set to face Brazil and Colombia, marking the start of an intensive preparation phase for the World Cup, scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

The French Football Federation revealed that the first June friendly will be against an African opponent that previously participated in the Africa Cup of Nations, while the identity of the second opponent will depend on the outcome of the European playoff matches for World Cup qualification in March.

France will compete in the 2026 World Cup alongside Senegal, Norway, and the winner of the intercontinental playoff involving Iraq, Bolivia, or Suriname.
