French President Emmanuel Macron has announced an additional €2 billion in military support for Ukraine, reinforcing France’s commitment to assisting Kyiv in its ongoing security challenges.

During a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Paris, Macron confirmed the new aid package, emphasizing France’s efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

He also stated that France would continue mobilizing international partners at a high-level meeting in Paris on Thursday to enhance military assistance for Ukraine.

The latest aid package will include anti-tank missiles, surface-to-air missiles, and drones, as part of France’s broader effort to bolster Ukraine’s military resilience.

Macron also accused Russia of manipulating and redefining the terms of recent limited ceasefire agreements.

Meanwhile, the United States has brokered two separate agreements—one with Ukraine and another with Russia—to halt attacks on maritime and energy infrastructure. As part of the deal, Washington has agreed to push for the easing of some sanctions on Moscow.

However, shortly after the US announcement, the Kremlin declared that the Black Sea agreements would not take effect unless connections between certain Russian banks and the global financial system were restored.
