Pakistan's former prime minister Imran Khan was granted bail in multiple cases by an anti-terrorism court in Islamabad.
The Pakistani newspaper "Dawn" stated that "the Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad today granted bail to Imran Khan in 8 cases related to violence in the judicial complex.
A few days ago, Khan's lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, said he had been granted an extension of his bail, with no arrest warrant until May 31.
Chaudhry confirmed that the court extended the period of his release on bail without the possibility of his arrest, which was scheduled to expire last Wednesday because the prosecution requested more time to provide details of his case.
Since his overthrow, Khan faces several legal measures, knowing that he is still very popular, and hopes to return to power in the legislative elections scheduled for next October.
