Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a video conversation with Tanzanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation Liberata Mulamula to discuss bilateral cooperation.
"The two ministers touched upon issues of mutual concern in various fields," Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Hafez said on Twitter on Sunday.

The two ministers agreed to continue activating the meetings of the joint committee between their countries in order to enhance bilateral cooperation in all fields.
During the call, Shoukry highlighted the historical relations that unite Egypt and Tanzania and the steady development the two countries have witnessed in recent years.
He also cited President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s visit to Dar es Salaam in August 2017 and the visit of Samia Hassan, Tanzania's President, to Cairo in November 2021.
Moreover, Shoukry affirmed that he looks forward to Tanzania's participation during the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 27) in Sharm El-Sheikh next November. level in the conference activities.
In his previous remarks, the minister noted that, on behalf of the African continent, Egypt will voice Africa’s aspirations to confront the impacts related to climate change during the COP-27.
He also pointed out that Egypt will adopt a comprehensive approach, taking into account the concerns and priorities of the various parties.
The state will also support all African countries for their efforts that contribute to the success of its hosting of the conference.
