Floods Inundate Streets of Spain, Washing Away People, Cars

Pictures captured by cameras showed horrific moments, and panic that  prevailed in Spain.

In one picture, a mother and her child were swept away by the flood waters while the mother was driving her car on a street in Spain, where the floods removed her from her correct path.

Also, many roads appeared to be filled with dense water after the sudden shift in the weather from hot to heavy rain.

Homes and businesses in tourist areas like Alicante were flooded, cars were swept away, people and dogs were hurt and stranded, and they became in urgent need of rescue.

And the Emergency Coordination Centre in Murcia described it as the worst weather in history for the region, as storms lashed there as well as in Vallenica and Andalusia in the last few days.
