First Egyptian Woman Becomes the UK's Public Prosecutor

Dr. Jihan Al-Husseini, of Egyptian descent, has made history by becoming the first Egyptian to be appointed as a Public Prosecutor in the United Kingdom. The General Union of Egyptians Abroad in the UK has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Counselor Dr. Jihan Al-Husseini for this prestigious position.

Ms. Mervat Khalil, the head of the Union's UK branch, commented on the achievement, stating, "Pursuing a legal education and entering the judiciary is among the most challenging and meticulous of professions. It requires immense dedication, time, and perseverance."

Khalil elaborated on Dr. Al-Husseini's journey to this esteemed position. The newly-appointed prosecutor earned several degrees, starting with a Bachelor's in Political Science and International Relations, followed by a Master's in International Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law. Her commitment to excellence was evident as she focused her efforts on joining the Board of Counselors. Dr. Al-Husseini cleared all her examinations with distinction. Despite the challenges of these tests, Khalil emphasized that hard work, mastery, persistence, a good reputation, and experience were the primary factors that facilitated Dr. Al-Husseini's appointment.
