The Egyptian fencing sword team won the gold medal at the World Junior and Youth Championship.
The tournament was held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, from 1 to 9 April.
Egypt beat Switzerland in the final of the tournament 45-43.
Egypt qualified directly for the round of 32 and then beat Canada 45-25.
Egypt beat Uzbekistan 45-32, Estonia 45-42 in the quarter-finals and Hungary 45-34 in the semi-finals.
The Egyptian U-20 fencing team includes Mohamed El-Sayed, Mohamed Yassin, Mahmoud El-Sayed and Youssef Shamil under the leadership of coach El-Sayed Sami.
The Egyptian national team also won 4 medals during the tournament, including gold, silver and two bronze
