"Fast and Furious" star Vin Diesel revealed that Fast and Furious 10 and 11 will begin production in January 2022.
In 2020, Universal announced that the blockbuster franchise will come to an end after Fast and Furious 11, with director Justin Lin, set to shepherd the two-part finale. This decision was inspired by the success of "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame", as the tenth installment was initially set to be the final chapter in the franchise.
Diesel also shared recently that the 10th and 11th movies will be filming back to back, with the target release date is 02/23 for the first movie and 02/24 for the second one.
The latest installment in the franchise, F9, is currently screening in the theaters and is poised to set a new record for the biggest opening weekend since the coronavirus outbreak, which was already performing incredibly well overseas.
