Jury members of the Architecture Competition of the second session of Arts Awards 2021 of the Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts voted on the projects submitted.
The voting was per the standards of the following criteria: -
Innovation in design for prototypes and residential buildings.
Flexibility in meeting the different functional needs of the Egyptian family.
The privacy of the residence and its compatibility with the environment.
The economy in construction, maintenance and energy consumption.
Innovation in presenting ideas.
About 27 contestants from 5 governorates had competed in the competition, which prize is worth EGP 100 thousand and is pided as follows: EGP 50,000 for the first prize, EGP 30,000 for the second prize and EGP 20,000 for the third prize.
The jury for the architecture competition includes architect Shehab Mazhar, consultant engineer Mohammed Abu Saada, head of the National Organization for Urban Harmony and architect Hatem Al-Saeed.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony and the inauguration of a group exhibition of artists and architects qualified for the final stage, which will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.
The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 30 at 6 PM (Cairo local time).
