President of Smouha Club Farag pulled off stage mid-show during "The Match" program, after refusing to answer questions from sports TV broadcaster Hany Hathout, about the upcoming club elections, and what was raised from some club members to postpone the football activity.
During the show on the Sada Al-Balad channel, Amer refused to answer the question, accusing Hathout of supporting his rivals in the elections, which Hathout denied on live TV.

Hathout commented on Amer's pull off, saying: "I apologize for the interesting dramatic scene, and I don't know why he is so tense, especially as he is heading to the elections in which he used to compete.
Earlier on the show, Smouha's Club president commented on the performance of referee Amin Omar, who managed his team's lost 3-1 against Pyramids in the 16th round of the Egypt Cup.

"I felt that there was an ambush for us," said Amer, noting that the match was without video technology (VAR) or headphones, and mocked: "It seems that it was without a whistle too."
