Mohamed Fadl, a member of the "Committee of five" that runs the Egyptian Football Association, affirmed that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) agreed to let a number of 5,000 to 10,000 fans attend the CAF Champions League final.

"A few days ago, we sent a letter to CAF to get their approval for the fans' attendance in the African Champions League final," Fadl said in statements to Ontime Sports channel. "Today they welcomed our proposal."

He added that the Confederation of African Football has no objection to the attendance of fans in the CAF CL final, but at the same time he will wait for the approval of Egyptian security authorities.

He explained that in case fans attend the final match, there will be strict precautionary measures, pointing out that CAF is happy to hold the final match in Egypt.

Fadl concluded his statements saying: "Al Ahly and Zamalek will undergo a Corona virus-detection medical swab next Wednesday under the supervision of CAF."

Al Ahly is set to clash with its counterpart Zamalek Friday evening, November 27, in the CAF Champions League final.
