Activists on social media circulated a video clip that was said to be of an Israeli fighter being targeted in the skies of Gaza, without any official confirmations being issued regarding this news.
In the attached video, the voice of a person is heard talking about shooting down a fighter and its pilot jumping from it with a parachute. Some white smoke appears in the sky that may be the result of intercepting rocket shells fired by Hamas fighters from the Gaza Strip towards the Israeli settlements. No official comment or statement was issued confirming this news.
It is noteworthy that the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), revealed earlier this week a homemade air defense system that was used to confront Israeli bombing during the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation.
The brigades said that the air defense system is a "Mutabar 1" model. It also published scenes of Israeli aircraft being targeted with surface-to-air missiles.
