The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts extremely hot and humid weather will prevail across the country during Monday's daylight hours.

Hot and humid weather is also expected to prevail in the North Coast.

The weather will seem hotter due to the high humidity levels, which will push up the heat index by 2-4 degrees.

The country will also witness mist on agricultural and highway roads in Cairo, North Coast, Lower Egypt, Canal Cities, and Central Sinai.

Wind will occur occasionally across the country.

There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall, sometimes thunderous, hitting intermittently in South Upper Egypt.

Meteorologists also predicts that the country will continue experiencing a slight temperature rise.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves ranging between 1 and 1.75 meters in height with northwest surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent ranging between 2 and 2.5 meters in height with northwest surface winds.

Maritime navigation is also expected to be disrupted in the Gulf of Suez, with winds averaging 50 to 60 km/h and waves ranging between 2.5 and 3 meters.

Moderately hot and humid weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early hours.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 37°C in Cairo, 31°C in Alexandria, 30°C in Marsa Matruh, 40°C in Sohag, 42°C in Qena, and 42°C in Aswan.
