One person was killed in a huge explosion under a bridge in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa, which took place earlier Wednesday.
The injured man lost his leg, according to Reuters.
There is no indication of whether the explosion related to the current conflict in the Tigray region or not.
It is worth mentioning that, Ethiopian Prime Minister (PM) Abiy Ahmed said on Monday that Ethiopia is not heading for ‘Chaos’ due to the military operation launched by the federal government in the northern Tigray region.
In a tweet, Abiy said, “Ethiopia is grateful for friends expressing their concern.”
“Concerns that Ethiopia will descend into chaos are unfounded and a result of not understanding our context deeply,” he continued.
