Experts of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecast nice weather to prevail in the northern coasts next to the Mediterranean Sea (MS) and the other water bodies connected to it on Friday.

It will be warm in Cairo and the areas near to it up to Middle Egypt over hours to come.

However, Upper Egypt will enjoy warm weather during daytime hours.

But it will be very cold at night across the country, especially in the small hours ahead of the dawn.

Temperature degrees are expected to slide significantly so frost is expected to hang over plants in the middle districts of the country and the Sinai Peninsula.

Heavy mist reduces the range of visibility in the northern parts of Egypt.

Lower and medium-dragged clouds hang over the northern areas and the moderate northeasterly winds will blow through the open parts.

The MS will see light to moderate conditions and waves swell to 1-1.5 meters.

The sea gets exposed to surface northwesterly winds during the coming hours.

The Red Sea sees moderate conditions and waves swell to 1.5-2 meters, surface northeasterly winds blow up there.

Egypt enjoys a moderate climate most days of the year.

Because its boundaries extend from the Mediterranean Sea in the north to Sudan in the south, its climate varies greatly. Although some tourists venture into the searing heat of the Sahara desert, most confine their travels to the Red Sea coast and the Valley of the Nile.

Around Alexandria and the resorts that fringe the Mediterranean, summertime temperatures usually peak at around 31 Celsius (87F) but further south, in Aswan, temperatures average 41 Celsius (106F).

Although there can be a few wet days each month along the Mediterranean coast, much of Egypt experiences little or no rainfall.

So, with sunshine averaging eight to 10 hours each day in the winter and as much as 12 hours in the summer,  tourists can base their choice of time to visit solely on the likely temperatures.

With summer temperatures exceeding 35 Celsius (95F), touring the sites around Cairo can be very uncomfortable.

But it should also be pointed out that January and February can be quite chilly months in Cairo and along the northern half of Egypt’s Red Sea coast.

Dust-laden winds may affect almost any part of the country between late March and June. These can give some very unpleasant conditions at times.
