A new COVID-19 variant classified as a "real deal" could start to spread globally, especially in the UK, Daily Mail cited scientists on Wednesday.
The Omicron new variant is named BA.6, however, it isn't the official name of the variant.
The new variant was detected only in three countries: the UK, Denmark, and Israel.
Experts told Daily Mail that, if the strain is proven to be serious, it could spread 'very soon'.
Professor Paul Hunter, a renowned infectious disease specialist, said that the variant 'probably' is in the UK or US.
Some experts have called for the return of the medical codes that were used to control the spread of COVID-19.
However, other experts warned that it is too early to panic and stress about the pandemic era.
