According to El Hawary, incorporating natural oils such as coconut oil, bitter almond oil, avocado oil, grape seed oil, and argan oil can significantly improve skin texture, elasticity, and overall glow.
*Reducing Pores and Shine: Effective Tips
El Hawary suggests several routines to minimize open pores and reduce shine, allowing each individual to choose what suits them best.
She recommends using rose water, mint, lemon, or lavender water for sensitive skin, applied twice daily after cleansing with a suitable natural soap or cleanser.
Additionally, aloe vera gel can be used twice daily and before makeup application as a primer.
For oily skin, an Aswan clay mask applied twice a week is beneficial. Another golden tip for all skin types is using ice cubes on clean skin every other day, which also acts as a great pre-makeup base.
*Nourishing Ice Cubes Recipe
El Hawary shares an easy and highly effective recipe for nourishing ice cubes: blend a small amount of green tea, a quarter of a tomato, and a quarter of a cucumber, strain the mixture, and add it to the green tea.
If you have oily skin, include two drops of lemon juice. Freeze the mixture in ice cube trays and apply it to your skin in circular motions every other day.
*Best Mask for Preventing Pimples and Tightening Pores
For a kitchen-based solution to prevent pimples, tighten pores, and enhance skin radiance, El Hawary recommends a fantastic mask: mix half a teaspoon each of ground oats, green tea, cornstarch, yogurt, and honey.
This combination provides excellent results for clearer and tighter skin.
*Homemade Exfoliating Moisturizer
El Hawary also offers a tried-and-true recipe for an exfoliating moisturizer that brightens the skin and targets dark areas.
Mix four tablespoons of either coconut oil, almond oil, or argan oil with four tablespoons each of powdered milk, baking soda, and ground oats. Apply the mixture to the skin during showers, especially on dry areas, and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes before gently scrubbing it off.
This mask is also suitable for hands and feet and can be stored in a container in the bathroom for up to a month.
