In the year of its 140th anniversary, Bulgari presents the High Jewelry collection - with 500 exclusive creations - High Watchmaking, High-End bags and Very High-End fragrances with a fashion show-event at the Terme di Dioclezioano in Rome . In addition to brand ambassadors Anne Hathaway, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Liu Yifei, Shu Qi, Hikari Mori

The show, curated by Carine Roitfeld, saw the participation of an iconic cast, including Mariacarla Boscano, Blesnya Minher, Elisabetta Dessy, Isabella Rossellini, Carla Bruni and Giacomo Cavalli.

«We have decided to celebrate 140 years with a collection that marks a new chapter for our history, while continuing it - explains CEO Jean-Christophe Babin -. To create Aeterna we gave our master goldsmiths more freedom and time than ever, to allow them to create jewels that are truly eternal."

«I am proud of our creative teams led by Lucia Silvestri and Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, and our master craftsmen, for having developed the most extraordinary High Jewelry collection ever, not only within Bulgari's 140-year history, but probably of the entire 21st century" says CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, "The Serpenti Aeterna series represents the apotheosis of excellence. It combines the most extraordinary diamonds with the Serpenti icon, the most desired Bulgari jewelry and watchmaking symbol of recent decades, worn by Cleopatra in Rome in 46 BC. and reborn in 1948 in the form of secret jewel watches, thanks to the visionary spirit of the Bulgari family."

More than 2,400 hours, a record figure, were needed to create the Serpenti Aeterna necklace, the most precious necklace ever created by Bulgari in its long history, which enhances the purity and timelessness of the diamond starting from a gem of over 200 carats divided into seven drops for a total of 140 carats, a number that corresponds to the years of the maison (worth several million euros, and which seems to have already received several purchase offers within a few hours of the presentation). 1,700 hours were worked on the Sweet Wreath necklace, a garland of colours, in pure Bulgari style, where tourmalines, tanzanites, topaz and diamonds come together. And two years of relentless searching for the perfect sapphires finally led to the creation of the Sapphire Brocade necklace. «The beauty of luxury is that there are no limits - adds Babin -. The future must make the past better and this is an exciting challenge for our designers but also for our master goldsmiths, who participate deeply in the creative process."

«There we have a pool of 700 goldsmiths who work mainly on everyday jewelry, but to whom we offer the opportunity of a career that can take them, after about 10 years, to the high jewelers laboratory on the Via Aurelia in Rome». The Roman atelier will also be expanded, moving its headquarters and evolving its identity: «In 2026 we will open the new factory in the Eur building which we will restore to its original splendor: it will be bigger, but above all we will make it available to visitors, customers and collectors, a special and luxurious area to welcome them in the best possible way and give them the opportunity to see and appreciate up close how our jewels are made."

The presentation of Aeterna itself, after the 15 days of the Roman event, will continue in Asia and the Middle East in the coming months and will be enriched with new creations, to continue to fuel it.
