Dr Mohamed Al Qoussy, Head of the Egyptian Space Agency (ESA), said that Egypt is going to launch satellite Narsscube-1 from Japan tomorrow.

He affirmed that the satellite was composed by engineers and technicians of the “ESA”.

Narsscube-1 contains a camera to image the earth from altitude 700 km. It is a cubic form weighs 1 kg and it will stay in its orbit for a year. It came within the program a coalition funded by the Academy of Scientific Research (ASR).

The program comprises launching of three satellites to the outer space.

The first satellite was launched last August. The second will be launched tomorrow. Meanwhile, the third will be launched in July 2020.

Narsscube-1 belongs to nano category which depends on technologies able to minimize volume of apparatuses.

Dr Al Qoussy added that Narsscube-1 was designed, composed and tested at the Egyptian Space Agency (ESA) in Cairo.
