The Evangelical Church in Egypt started celebrating Christmas at Al Dubara Palace on Friday Afternoon.
The program of the celebration included a group of hymns chanting, and readings, alongside a speech for Dubara Palace Church patron, and President of the Evangelical Community in Egypt Andrea Zaki.
George Shaker, the deputy head of the Angelical community in Egypt, said that the political leadership in Egypt is determined to make a change and progress, in addition to getting back Egypt's position in the region.
He also expressed that they trust Egypt's leadership and people for facing all challenges and fulfilling achievements.
Moreover, Shaker congratulated President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on hosting COP 27 and the success of organizing the conference in Egypt.
He asserted that every year Egypt celebrates more achievements and successes.
Finally, Shaker thanked all Egyptian officials who sent their wishes and sent representatives to attend the celebration, including the Grand Imam of Al Azkar Ahmed Al Tayeb.
In the same context, Pope Tawadros will head a Christmas mass in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in the New Administrative Capital.
