The Manial Palace is preparing to host the 2nd International Music Festival under the auspices of the European Union (EU) from 28 October to 9 November in Cairo.
Chaired by the grandson of Khepe Abbas Helmy, Prince Abbas Helmy, the festival will present elite ensembles of musicians from all over the world, presenting classical music templates at the upcoming event.
Musicians are expected to combine oriental and world heritage classics in the archaeological masterpiece, which represents the royal era in the history of Egypt.
"We are investing the success of the last year's festival, especially after the official sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture, Antiquities and the Supreme Committee for Festivals, to help revive the Egyptian heritage through musical partnerships between different nationalities," Helmy said.
The festival represented a real opportunity to redevelop the museum, including its lighting systems, and restoration through numerous partnerships, including the European Union (EU), French, Italian, Austrian, Spanish, Czech and Slovak embassies.
The Friends of the Manial Palace Museum Association was founded by Prince Helmy, nephew of the founder of the palace, Prince Mohammed Ali Tewfik, as a non-profit in 2005.
